Anyone remember the mascot for Kayo gasoline?

His name was "Speedy Kayo" (no relation, we presume, to "Speedy Alka-Seltzer").

Can't explain Speedy's limp wrist, though....  ;-)






The interchange pictured above is hardly "south of Clanton"; it's due east!  It's the present-day Exit 208 (Clanton/Lake Mitchell).  The US-31 exit mentioned in the article, which IS south of town, is not what one would call "graceful."
