At this time, WSGN was found
at 1310 on the dial. It wouldn't move to its more famous location,
610, until the following Spring.

In 1941, a major realignment of radio channels resulted in most stations
being forced to change their frequencies. This move put many of these
stations where they are today. WSGN, as mentioned above, went from
1310 to 610. WBRC moved three doors down to 960, and WAPI moved first
to 1170, and several years later to their present-day 1070 location.
Oooh
... risque stuff
for 1940!
Those

Yes, it's true ... the auditorium
was on the seventh floor instead of the sixth, where the Enchanted Forest
would materialize 24 years later.
