EASTWOOD MALL PHOTO GALLERY #6
Pictures of inside the mall, taken by Robert McNeill, February 25, 2006.  These are some awesome, yet sad, pics.

Mr. McNeill comments:
These are some pictures of the enterior of Eastwood on 2-25-06.  Every store was unlocked and most of the gates were open.  The barricade by the bank was moved aside and I just walked right in.I was able to see all of the back rooms along with the upstairs and downstairs of Parisian (it still had running water and heat!).

The old Baskin-Robbins was even unlocked.  The stores near Baskin Robbins are really run-down.  There was one store whose roof had caved in and gone through the floor; rain was pouring in through the hole!

The old Hallmark Store was still intact.  The food court was nice and clean, exactly the way it was when it closed.  I stayed for about 2 hours and never encountered security.  I had to make one last trip to this wonderful mall.

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures.  There are some really creepy angles here ... this is a great example of what's come to be known as "urban exploration".....

THE MALL...

The carpeting has long since been taken up, revealing Eastwood past - segmented concrete floors within a grid of inlaid side-mounted bricks.  That floor hadn't seen the light of day since at least the early '70s, or earlier than that.

I WOULDN'T WALK THROUGH HERE WITH BARE FEET IF I WERE YOU...

Upstairs at the old Parisian.  Evidently that's some broken glass from some displays.

If these walls could talk.

MY NAME'S GRIM REAPER, AND I'LL BE YOUR SERVER.

"MAY I HAVE THE DEMOLITION COCKTAIL, PLEASE?"

COMIN' RIGHT UP, SIR.

PARISIAN, AGAIN

A good look at the escalator setup.

MORE MALL......

This is looking east ... the old Bath & Body Works can be seen in the distance.

It's so close you can smell the Cherry Banana Limburger Mocha body spray!

FOOD WENT A-COURTIN'

This, honestly, is the best picture I've seen of the food court.

For a minute you can forget that beneath all this beautiful structural work is an abandoned shopping mall.

I WONDER IF THEY SELL BEREAVEMENT CARDS FOR MALLS?

Inside the old Hallmark store.

Say, is that an old 1998 holiday ornament on the bottom shelf?

SHOO!

About the only "Athlete's Foot" you'd probably get in here is of the fungal variety.

No, wait.  This was a "Foot Locker."

PARISIAN, YET AGAIN.

These stores take on a very depressing feel when devoid of their merchandise.

?????

Not too sure what this store used to be.

INTRODUCING FLAVOR #32:
Berry Much Outtahere

The old Baskin-Robbins at Eastwood.

The freezer sign read: "Custom Made Desserts"

ICE CREAM TIME CAPSULE

Now this one just plain baffles me as much as it fascinates.

It seems Baskin-Robbins locked up and walked away, leaving things exactly as they were, including the menu boards, topping containers, and mixing machines (!!).  That stuff, especially the bigger gear, isn't cheap.  To have left them to rot like that boggles the mind.  Maybe the management was a couple of flavors short of 31?  ;-)

SERVICE MERCHANDISE, PERHAPS?

If anyone can identify this, please do so.  (these pictures just had numbers, so I had to do some guessing on a couple of 'em)
